Fiji, that small little cute country somewhere in the Pacific. Our correspondent dug up this story, and it’s good to know that besides the usual military coups they have, this one is a refreshing change!
Hey folks! This is carnival time in Fiji with Suva offering week-long fun and entertainment to one and all.
Vodafone-Hibicus Festival is here once again and it was real enjoyable on August 17 when every conceivable vehicular and human traffic got stilled to honour the March which also included the reigning Hibiscus Queen Drue Slatter and King Clarence Dass.
The Parade from Sukuna Park to Albert Park witnessed all participating in it with the Fiji Military Forces band in the lead. People in Suva cheered the performers. Among the highlights expected is the choosing of the Hibiscus Queen and Hibiscus King with the crowning slated for next Saturday.
The contest will sure be a hot one and there will be chosen Hibiscus Teen and Hibiscus Prince and Princess as well.
