R.I.P.D – movie preview

We brought you some cool pics and a movie still from the movie R.I.P.D recently, and here’s our Preview.

So, how many of you folks remember the Men In Black movies, huh?!

Remember one of them even had those cute specimens of our species, a ‘pug’ dog that is?!

Well, there is a new supernatural-action-adventure themed movie coming out, that doesn’t seem to have a dog or anything, but looks refreshingly interesting. It’s called R.I.P.D.

And you know what’s funny about it?

The fact that the lead characters get transformed into a hot and sexy chick, and an old Asian dude.

Now how often does that happen huh?!

A chick and a old guy fighting together, but in reality are the complete opposite; an aging guy and a young bloke!

R.I.P.D has certainly got our attention. Here’s the official synopsis, courtesy Universal Pictures (Australia):

Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds headline the 3D supernatural action-adventure R.I.P.D. as two cops dispatched by the otherworldly Rest In Peace Department to protect and serve the living from an increasingly destructive array of souls who refuse to move peacefully to the other side.

Veteran sheriff Roy Pulsifer (Bridges) has spent his career with the legendary police force known as R.I.P.D. tracking monstrous spirits who are cleverly disguised as ordinary people.  His mission?  To arrest and bring to justice a special brand of criminals trying to escape final judgment by hiding among the unsuspecting on Earth.

Once the wise-cracking Roy is assigned former rising-star detective Nick Walker (Reynolds) as his junior officer, the new partners have to turn grudging respect into top-notch teamwork.  When they uncover a plot that could end life as we know it, two of R.I.P.D.’s finest must miraculously restore the cosmic balance…or watch the tunnel to the afterlife begin sending angry souls the very wrong way.

Besides Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds, R.I.P.D also stars Kevin Bacon, Mary-Louise Parker, Stephanie Szostak, Robert Knepper, James Hong, Marisa Miller, Mike O’Malley, and Devin Ratray in important roles.

R.I.P.D. releases in Australian Cinemas on September 12.
